Pressure Systems (PSSR)
The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR 2000) require owners to have a Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) in place for their pressure equipment and systems. To comply with PSSR, owners must have their pressure equipment periodically examined in accordance with that Written Scheme. Typical types of pressure equipment that require periodic Thorough Examination include, but are not limited to:
- Air Compressors and Receivers
- Coffee Boilers
- Autoclaves
- Boilers
- Safety Devices and Pipework
Local Exhaust/Ventilation (LEV)
Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems extract hazardous substances from the workplace in a safe and effective manner. The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH 2002) place a duty on the owner to have them periodically inspected. Typical types of LEV systems include, but are not limited to:
- Extraction Hoods
- Spray Booths
- Dust Extraction
- Welding Extraction
- Fume Cupboards
